This is the southernmost mangrove river, and at high tide it is possible to dinghy to
the sound side a few miles away.  There is a shorter route using the northern river
entrance as we did.

The water is pristine and extremely warm, at least 90 degrees.  We walked through
the river for an hour or so  taking pictures.
