Crab Cay provides all sorts of opportunities to explore
historical points of interest.
Land and underwater caves, beaches, cisterns and ruins are some of the
possibilities we find in this area, all accessible by dinghy.
Back in the mid 1700's, 3000 Loyalists came to Bahamas from
the U.S. and
established cotton plantations throughout the islands. Amongst them was
William
Walker, who built a plantation between 1784 and 1788. We still find the
ruins
draped with surrounding trees and shrubs.
