Our anchorage in Big Major's Spot was not far from Staniel's Cay which provided
some provisioning, a place to dump for our trash, and a bakery.  Just 15 minutes
away by dinghy, the Staniel's Cay Marina provided a dinghy dock and had water
and fuel available.  The food at the marina was great, and we got to experience our
first conch burger.  We also got play a few rounds of pool. 

A snorkeling highlight of our trip was at  the Thunderball Grotto, where the James
Bond movie "Thunderball" was filmed.  It affords a novice diver the opportunity to
explore a cavern, above and below water.

The entrance seems tricky, but at low tide it's easily accessible by swimming above
the waterline.   There is a mooring for the dinghies which is in front of the grotto
entrance.  Because the area is designated no fishing, there are numerous species
of fish, including blow fish, that swim just outside the entrance to the grotto.
