The Spanish Quarter originated back in the 1600s; and to this day,  many of the
old buildings are still intact.  It was like walking back into history with many of the
shop keepers dressed in period clothing.  The Spanish language is still spoken
among the locals.

The aroma of fudge from the fudge factory shop swept throughout the street, which
made it entirely impossible to pass by without stopping in for a treat.  Beautiful craft
shops and art museums allowed us to better understand the history of the city. The
Spanish Quarter is equally impressive at night, with the many lights highlighting the
architecture and trees.
