Our trip into Manitowaning was fun.  One of the reasons for our stop was to see the

Norisle, an old coal fired steamer which was used to ferry passengers between the

Bruce Peninsula and the Manitoulin Island (The world's largest fresh water island).

It was later replaced by the Chi-Cheemaun ( meaning the "Big Canoe" in Ojibway)

in 1974.  Here she lays in the Manitowaning Harbor while undergoing restoration.
